Maple Brown Sugar Buttercream - date of recipe is 1 year before wedding date, I’ve been thinking fall leaves as decor, it’s whitish, it could support the use of bacon in the wedding cake … almost ready to stop looking or only look for other maple frostings!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of salted butter, softened
- ½ cup (118ml) of light brown sugar
- ¼ cup (59ml) all-purpose flour
- 4 cups (1L) of powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) pure maple syrup
- 1-2 tablespoons milk, as needed
- INSTRUCTIONS
- Cream the butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add in the flour, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
- Mix until well combined.
- Add milk as needed to get a good consistency for spreading & piping!
